The Hermitage is situated on the banks of the River Braan and it's surrounded by Craigvinean Forest full of Douglas firs.
You can enjoy the view of a stunning waterfall called The Black Linn Falls from the small terraced view-house called Ossian's Hall of Mirrors or from the old stone bridge nearby.
Ossian's Hall of Mirrors has been decorated with mirrors to honor the 3rd-century blind bard called Ossian.
You can also visit Ossian's Cave and Hobbit House which are located close by in the forest.
Some of the trees in these woods are recognized as the tallest in the UK.
